About
Netløn is a net-pay calculator for Denmark, aimed at anyone working here. Every figure used in the calculation traces to an official source, with the date it was last checked.

What the tool does
Netløn is a net-pay calculator for Denmark, for anyone working here who wants a clear answer to a simple question: what is left in my account after tax? It takes a gross salary and walks the Danish chain — ATP, the AM contribution, state tax and municipal tax, with the personal allowance as a tax value — and shows the result with the build-up visible, not hidden behind a single figure.
Where the figures come from
Rates and thresholds come from the primary Danish sources: the Ministry of Taxation and the Tax Agency for state tax and the personal allowance, ATP for the ATP rate, and the Ministry of Taxation for the municipal rates. Context figures such as the average salary come from Statistics Denmark and are marked as context — they never enter the calculation. Every figure carries its source and the date it was last checked, and we say plainly how far that checking has got: each value has been compared with its named source, but the site’s own sign-off sheet is not yet complete.
How it is built
The calculator is payload-driven: the figures sit in one reviewed data file, separate from the page text, so no rate is hard-coded in the prose and every figure shown can update itself the moment a value is signed off. The calculation itself is checked independently by hand with worked examples, so the calculation core is verified rather than merely trusted. The design keeps the money language honest — net in green, contributions and tax each in their own colour, and the employer’s costs kept out because they are not deducted from your pay.

Honest scope
We would rather be clear about the limits than pretend they do not exist. This version covers the standard situation: an adult full-time employee, with no occupational pension and no capital income. The researcher scheme, the commuting allowance and other personal allowances are not modelled. The result is therefore a solid order-of-magnitude estimate, not a replacement for your payslip or professional advice.
How the figures are checked
The figures shown are those in force for 2026, and the pages stay out of the search engines until the official launch. For now, do not use the results for official or tax decisions — use them to understand how the parts fit together. If you spot something that looks wrong, the contact page explains how to reach us.
